On the 15 th September 1998, following an ownership reorganisation, the company Casino Portorož changed its legal status to Casino Portorož d. d., a joint-stock company registered in Portorož. Its core business is casino gaming but the company also has various hotel interests . The company owns two important casinos in Portorož and Lipica, and another one in Žusterna near Koper. The company has 390 employees and a small number of contract workers and student on seasonal contracts.

Casino Portorož, d. d. has a longstanding tradition in casino gaming and is one of the leading casinos in Slovenia . Our aim is to keep up the classical gaming tradition, whilst stimulating the development of modern games and entertainment programmes.
